I’ve been writing this newsletter for over a year now.

In that time, I went from wanting to build a web dev agency, to a recording studio, a photography business, back to a web dev agency, back to a recording studio…

ugh… that’s a lot. Is your head spinning yet? Mine is.

Let’s get into it →

This is my favorite pic of my studio. Love the colors in this one.

I was so lost, but building in public helped me figure it out.

The folly of the creative is that your work has a deep connection to the self — the identity.

Yes I used an em-dash. No, it wasn’t AI. Proud to say this newsletter is 100% written by this humanoid.

This is something that I deeply struggle with, and, many of you have probably seen in my social posts, the unlucky friends that had to listen to my first world problems about how to pivot my business (forever grateful for you guys), and within this very newsletter.

But here’s the funny thing about building in public…the more you put out there, the more you figure out what works, what doesn’t. It’s literally a free feedback loop to see what’s good and what sucks.

What you enjoy doing, versus what you find as daunting as your day job.

And recently, I had that a-ha moment. It actually triggered an entire rebrand of my business, which I’m ready to reveal to you all right now.

Introducing sudo.create

What we do

sudo.create is creative technology studio building digital experiences, products, and tools for modern creative brands. This includes all of the things I love, visual media, audio and tech, all under one roof, but making the whole thing one cohesive brand rather than three semi-related skillsets.

Who we do it for

Our focus is creative service brands like coffee shops, gaming stores & barbershops, musicians/artists, and studios. These are three spaces that I know extremely well.

Why we do it

I’ve always used technology creatively. Even in something as black or white as programming, there is some level of creativity involved to get the app to start working. I strongly believe the future of the creative arts is intertwined with technology. I have a desire to help creatives just like me by understanding their pain points and delivering digital solutions that simply work to grow their businesses. I love seeing my circle win.
